Booking & Payment Terms

Resurgence Treks

Effective Date: 01/01/2026

These Booking & Payment Terms explain how reservations, deposits, confirmations, and payments work when booking a trek with Resurgence Treks. They are designed to keep the process clear, fair, and consistent.

If anything is unclear, please contact us before reserving.

1) Reservation Methods

You can reserve a trek in two ways:

  • Deposit reservation (recommended) — pay a deposit to secure your place.
  • Pay in full — pay the full trek price at checkout.

Where a price range is shown, the final total may vary based on dates, group type, and logistics. Final details are confirmed after reservation.

2) Deposits

Deposit Amount

The standard deposit is USD 300 per person, unless stated otherwise on the trek page.

What a Deposit Does

A deposit:

  • secures your place (subject to availability confirmation)
  • confirms serious intent
  • is deducted from your final trek cost

If We Cannot Confirm Your Trek

If we cannot confirm your trek for your preferred dates, your deposit is fully refundable.

3) Confirmation Process

After your reservation is received, our Nepal team confirms:

  • your preferred dates
  • group type (shared or private)
  • seasonal logistics and availability
  • pacing and acclimatisation structure

Once confirmed, you will receive:

  • a clear trek outline and next steps
  • balance payment timing and instructions
  • optional upgrade options if requested

4) Final Pricing

Base Pricing

Base pricing reflects the standard trek setup described on the trek page.

Price Ranges

Where a range is shown, final pricing may vary due to:

  • shared vs private trekking
  • Kathmandu accommodation preferences (if arranged)
  • seasonal logistics and flight availability
  • pacing preferences or additional buffer days
  • optional upgrades requested after booking

We do not advertise artificially low prices and add costs later. Final pricing is confirmed clearly before any balance payment is due.

5) Balance Payment

The remaining balance is typically due shortly before the trek begins, once logistics are confirmed.

We will provide:

  • the final balance amount
  • the due date
  • payment method instructions

If the balance is not paid by the due date, the reservation may be treated as cancelled.

6) Cancellations, Transfers & Refunds

Trekking logistics involve committed costs including permits, staffing, accommodation, and transport. Cancellation outcomes depend on timing.

More than 60 Days Before Trek Start

Your deposit is fully transferable to a future trek date.

30–60 Days Before Trek Start

Your deposit remains transferable to a future date, subject to logistics already committed.

Less than 30 Days Before Trek Start

Deposits are generally non-refundable due to committed arrangements.
Transfers may still be possible in limited circumstances and will be reviewed case-by-case.

We will always aim to provide fair options where possible.

7) No-Shows & Early Departure

No refunds are provided for:

  • failure to arrive for the trek
  • unused trek days
  • voluntary early departure

Costs committed on your behalf cannot be recovered once the trek has begun.

8) Changes to Your Booking

If you request changes after confirmation (dates, group type, pacing, or upgrades), additional costs may apply.

We will:

  • explain any cost impacts clearly
  • apply changes only after agreement

9) Weather, Flights & Uncontrollable Disruptions

High mountain travel involves variables beyond any operator’s control, including weather and flight disruptions (particularly flights to/from Lukla).

If delays or disruptions occur:

  • itineraries may be adjusted for safety and practicality
  • additional accommodation or routing costs may apply
  • our team will advise the best available options

Safety and successful completion of the trek take priority over rigid scheduling.

10) Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first so we can resolve it promptly.

Unresolved chargebacks may result in:

  • cancellation of your reservation
  • refusal of future bookings
  • recovery of administrative or processing fees where applicable

11) Travel Insurance

Travel insurance that covers:

  • high-altitude trekking
  • emergency evacuation
  • trip interruption

is strongly recommended and may be required prior to departure.

Insurance is the traveller’s responsibility.
